Waiting for Tomorrow:
The sketch onto the canvas...
The beginnings of the face and flesh...
A close up of the details...
Blocking in of the surroundings...

Patience Lost:

Patience Progress :
The sketch directly onto the canvas
Because of the extreme humidity I had to work slowly and even take a break to give the paints time to take hold of the canvas. The wooden bed frame is pretty much done, tomorrow I will dive into the fabrics and then shortly after, the turtle.
A great deal more detail has gone into the fabric and there's plenty more to come. My model for the turtle/tortoise will be here this week hopefully so I can finish that part of the painting with some accuracy. Until then I'm planning to focus heavily on the folds in the fabric.
New Painting Progress :
The sketch directly onto the canvas
I spent a good chunk of time working the the fabrics on the sheets and pillow. The camisole has been underpainted and all the flesh has yet to be placed onto the canvas.
Much of the fabric is completed... the hands and flesh are slowly being worked in...
Equal Partners Progress :
The sketch directly onto the canvas
Some of the underpainting is in and some progress has been made on the face

Discovery Progress :
The sketch directly onto the canvas
Much of the underpainting is in place and some final skin tones are built up. Next in line is the wood pattern for the background and the fabric on the top.

Escape Progress :
The sketch directly onto the canvas
Some of the underpainting is in place... next step will be to pull together the face and skin tones more...
The face is more built up and more skin-tone underpainting is in place...
Close up of the face - stillm ore work to be done here but much of the volume has been developed.
Waking In Progress:
The sketch directly onto the canvas
A good amount of underpainting has been completed at this point and the wood in the background is nearly finished.
A close up of the underpainting.
Starting to tightend things up a bit more... and the painting in the painting has started to take shape.
A close up of the progress.
